Savor Blowing Rock is known as one of the High Country's premier wine and food festivals. The annual celebration of food and drinks is returning to Blowing Rock, and will be held Thursday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 5th.
The 2019 edition of SAVOR Blowing Rock includes an expanded range of demonstrations, seminars, live music, visual art, and a multitude of events.
Head to North Carolina’s Prettiest Small Town for this four day celebration of wine, craft beer, fine cuisine and entertainment. The festival will feature lectures, art classes, cooking classes, karaoke and even a 5k!
The festival features events for everyone! Kick off the weekend with TASTE: A restaurant showcase
TASTE! Is a culinary compilation showcasing some of the most loved restaurants of Blowing Rock and the High Country. This year, this event will take place at Chetola Resort. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Chetola Lake with small-plate sized portions of Blowing Rock’s signature dishes. Participating restaurants include Storie Street Grille, Best Cellar, Bistro Roca, the Restaurant at Gideon Ridge, and many more! You can also enjoy live music by Strictly Clean & Decent.
On Friday, May 3rd, the festival feature events including seminars, wine tastings, Music on the Lawn and more. Friday evening’s events include A Taste of France with Rowland’s Restaurant and the Andrew Murray Wine Dinner at Vidalia.
On Saturday, May 4th, the seventh annual Corkscrew and Brew 5K will combine running with beer and wine! The 5k begins at 9am at Chetola Resort. Saturday is also full of other great events, including the Reserve Wine Tasting at the Inn at Ragged Gardens, Vintner’s Village Grand Wine Tasting on Main Street, and more!
On Sunday, May 5th, wrap up the celebration with Gospel, Grits and Gravy. Enjoy a down-home southern breakfast featuring live music, biscuits, grits, various artisanal meats, and gravy! This year’s featured musical guest will be Glenn Bolick and Family.
