It is spring in the High Country, which means our local farmers' markets are back in full swing.  Here in the North Carolina mountains, the Farmers Market network is very strong. Visitors can buy local fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, and even artisan crafts and baked goods. Visiting a market is one of the best ways to get to know the local people and flavors.  With a market almost every day of the week throughout the High Country, there are many options for spending a few hours strolling through quaint booths and even enjoying local entertainment for free.
